დღე 3 - 15-დან

Have you ever been overly hungry? Maybe you waited too long to grab that snack, or you couldn’t find a place to stop for lunch on a long road trip, or you forgot to grab your breakfast on the way out the door. You might even be the kind of person who becomes so-called “hangry” if you let it go too long. If you’ve been there, then you know there’s no feeling worse than that! In those moments, you’d eat just about anything you could find—even if it were weird, even if it wasn’t what you wanted, even if it was terrible for you. That’s what real hunger pushes us to. Here, Jesus spoke of hunger in a different way. This wasn’t physical hunger; this was spiritual hunger.

Whether we realize it or not, we all walk around this world looking to satisfy that hunger in our own way—with what we buy, where we live, the titles we have, the followers we gain. But what we ultimately find is that, as soon as we think we’re full and satiated by whatever we’ve discovered, the hunger shows up again in a new form. When we try to feed our spiritual hunger on our own, we’ll never be fully satisfied. But when we look to Jesus—the bread of life who promises never to let us hunger—we can find a miracle. In Him, we’ll never want, or need, or have to search for satisfaction. In Him, we’ll always be fed and full. This week, work to memorize this verse. Let it remind you of the One who will provide all you need and more.

Reveal

The story of Easter really is the story of a miracle. A miracle preceded by many others that all ultimately point us to one thing: the truth of who God is, how God loves us, and the way God is working on our behalf. In this devotional, we’ll look at three major miracles recorded in the gospel of John. As we do, we’ll see that these miracles were all pointing us toward something greater. We’ll see the reveal of the greatest miracle of all: the resurrection of Jesus.
