Filled to Walk

What if the Christian walk feels like a crawl because you’re running on spiritual fumes? Paul prays that believers would be strengthened with power in their inner being so that Christ may dwell or make Himself at home in their hearts (Eph. 3:16–17).

It’s possible to be in Christ positionally but walk weakly because Christ is not ruling your inner world. Paul describes Jesus as the Anointed One. He is the King, the Priest, and the Prophet. When Christ dwells in you:

  • As King, He leads your decisions.
  • As Priest, He heals your inner world.
  • As Prophet, He reveals truth and confronts lies.

Walking with power isn’t about trying harder. It’s about surrendering deeper. Many of us want Christ to ride with us, but we still want to drive. Yet freedom comes when the King sits on the throne of your heart.

Paul had physical chains, but he was inwardly free because Christ ruled him from the inside out. And this is the key... you walk strong when Christ lives strong in you.

Today, ask yourself honestly: Is Jesus just in my life, or is He at home in every part of me?

Reflection Question
Which part of Christ’s role as King, Priest, or Prophet do you need to surrender to more fully?

Practical Application
Invite Jesus into one “room” of your inner world today that you’ve kept closed.

Prayer
Jesus, dwell in me completely. Rule my desires, heal my wounds, and reveal truth to my heart. Strengthen my inner being so I can walk in Your power. Amen.

Sit. Walk. Stand.

Have you ever noticed that you can be physically at rest, yet internally restless? The world, the flesh, and the devil all conspire to pull us out of that inner rest. But in his letter to the Ephesians, Paul anchors us in a greater truth: we are seated in Christ. This spiritual reality isn’t just a theological concept, it’s transformational. It’s meant to shape our internal world, grounding us in peace, identity, and purpose no matter what surrounds us. This study is designed to equip you to 'Stay in the Seat'.
