Wake Up, O Sleeper
Have you ever realised you were spiritually sleepwalking? You’re functioning but not fully awake. Faith becomes routine instead of relationship. Paul writes,“Wake up, sleeper… and Christ will shine on you.”(Eph. 5:14).
Spiritual dullness doesn’t happen overnight. It happens gradually through distraction, comfort, compromise, or exhaustion. But Paul outlines a wake-up progression that brings us back to alertness:
Walk in Love as an imitator.
You can’t imitate a love you haven’t received. Wakefulness begins with remembering how deeply Christ loves you.
Walk in Light as a carrier.
Light reveals what doesn’t fit the life of a believer and activates spiritual awareness. You don’t overcome darkness by trying harder... you turn on the light!
Walk in Wisdom as a contributor.
Make the most of every opportunity. Stay filled with the Spirit. Worship. Pray. Give thanks. These practices sharpen your spiritual senses and ready your heart for God’s purposes.
You don’t have to drift. You don’t have to live half-awake. Jesus is calling you into a life of clarity, holiness, joy, and purpose.
Wake up. Christ shines on you today!

Choose one spiritual discipline... worship, prayer, thanksgiving, or Scripture and intentionally practice it today.
Prayer
Lord, wake my heart. Pull me out of spiritual dullness and fill me with Your love, light, and wisdom. Help me live fully awake to Your presence. Amen.
