BOXED IN - 21 Day Journey To Easter Through The Book Of LukeExemplo
Boxed in by Isolation
One of the scariest places to find yourself is all alone. Even though you may be close in proximity to many people, you can still feel emotionally distant and disconnected. Being boxed in by isolation can happen almost anywhere and at anytime. And it can have devastating effects on your heart, mind and soul.
Mary could’ve tried to manage her pregnancy on her own, but chose to connect with her cousin Elizabeth instead. That’s where she found true community with someone who cared. Mary also later connected with Simeon and Anna at a church gathering and received much needed encouragement and affirmation.
When you feel isolated, connect with people who care. True community frees us to be open and honest while receiving much needed affirmation and encouragement.
Question: Who are the caring people with whom you find true community? What do you need to share with them so they can encourage you?
