ON THE WRONG TRACK
When you read this, just a bit over 2000 years after it actually happened, you can only shake your head in disbelief. The chief priests and the Sanhedrin, of all people, tried to bring Jesus down. They were the spiritual elite, the people who should have known better, the people who knew the Jewish writings better than anybody else and who could have derived that Jesus was the savior God had spoken about.
But they were blind. And not only that: Their insights and opinions about Jesus and God’s plan were so far from the truth.
We, too, are always at risk of doing things that we suppose are God’s will, while in reality we are going in the complete opposite direction. It is like we are completely on the wrong track, for example, in dealing with other people, our attitudes towards sexuality, our behavior in the office, ...
We need corrective feedback to be able to recognize this: The Bible, as well as people around us that honestly help us reflect, question us and are allowed to speak into our lives. This is not always pleasant, but helpful.
ACTION STEP:
Is there an area in your life in which you are completely on the wrong track? Look for a Bible verse on an area of life and ask God to speak to you. Use a concordance or search the word on the internet to help you find a verse.

About this Plan

For many people Easter is merely a nice spring festival. However, the origin of Easter is powerful and relevant for all people. During this time, we celebrate that Jesus died and resurrected for us. By doing this, something incredible happened. In this reading plan we want to engage ourselves with the last 24 hours in the life of Jesus. Jesus’ death on the cross is not the end, but the beginning of something totally new. For each one of us. – “Because I live, you also will live.” John 14:19
