DAY 22 OF 41

KEEPING CALM

Precisely this was prophesied in Isaiah 53:7 :

“He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.”

How did Jesus manage to remain calm in this situation?

Because he knew: My father loves me! That is why I can live and love calmly today, without stress!

How can you keep calm and be full of love when everybody is against you?

When you think life is not treating you well, you have to know that God is always good! God loves you in the same way he loved his son Jesus!

I hear of many people who believe this but rarely experience it.

And for this reason they are anything but calm and without stress...

On Sunday, a person came up to me and embraced me saying: “God wants me to tell you: I love you!”

God loves me! Hearing this at that moment changed my day. Because loved people can love better!

ACTION STEP:

In the morning, I often imagine myself sitting on God’s lap like a child, on the lap of my father in heaven. As I do this I pray: “God, Daddy, show me and tell me how much you love me, so that I can live and love calmly and fearlessly today - like Jesus!”

About this Plan

#JESUS2018 - Daily Devotionals

For many people Easter is merely a nice spring festival. However, the origin of Easter is powerful and relevant for all people. During this time, we celebrate that Jesus died and resurrected for us. By doing this, something incredible happened. In this reading plan we want to engage ourselves with the last 24 hours in the life of Jesus. Jesus’ death on the cross is not the end, but the beginning of something totally new. For each one of us. – “Because I live, you also will live.” John 14:19
