Bits And PiecesSample

  I was blessed to experience a very striking scene in my current game yesterday. In this game, the main character was turned in to her previously unknown enemies by a strange man. She eventually caught up to this man and had the opportunity to kill him. The man even told her that she had every right to kill him, but she decided to have mercy on him instead. He thanked her profusely and offered the remainder of his life to her service.    

    When the main character found all of this out, she even offered to help him rescue his family! This fictional act of mercy reminded me of the REAL mercy that our Heavenly Father exhibits towards us – His wayward children.  

     In the same fashion that this man did not deserve mercy, neither do we. We have ALL willingly sinned against God, and His will for our lives. In His amazing mercy, however, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins and restore us to unity with our Heavenly Family.  

     We were once dead in our sins, destined to live a life of total separation from God. But oh, how sweet His mercy is! We have so many reasons to rejoice and celebrate! We have been made truly ALIVE through God’s never-ending grace. Let us NEVER take that grace for granted, and instead let us live a life of eternal service to Him and His people forever.
