P.O.E.T.S. Of Prayer Sample

P.O.E.T.S. Of Prayer

DAY 6 OF 6

SCRIPTURES

It is impossible to hold God accountable to a promise he did not make. What makes our prayers effective is when we pray the promises of God, which are found in scriptures. Adding scriptures to our prayers is another way to remind God of what he said all while standing on his word.

God desires for us to reason with him but in order to do that, we have to go to the word. Going to the word for reference is similar to including citations in a research paper. If it can't be cited, how can the research be validated? Scripture validates God's promises.

As you pray, understand that the power does not lie in scripture alone. God's word is powerful because God is powerful. When you include scriptures in your prayers your only role is to then believe that God is able to perform it. In believing, be reminded of Isaiah 55:8, which tells us that God's thoughts are not our thoughts, and his ways are not our ways. The way that God chooses to abide by his word is not up to us, just know that it will always work out for your good.

Prayer is our spiritual lifeline. Prayer will free you from bondage, strengthen, guide and protect you!  It is important that we pray daily and remember that we can all be P.O.E.T.S of prayer.

Reflection

Make a list of scriptures to support your current prayer request. Practice praying the promises of God.

About this Plan

P.O.E.T.S. Of Prayer

Prayer is arguably one of the most important aspects of Christain living. It is our direct access to communication with God. If you have ever questioned whether or not your prayers are effective, this plan is for you. Although there is no right or wrong way to talk to God, the Bible does highlight important things we should include during our time of prayer.
