Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "First Things First"

DAY 3 OF 31

The new year is synonymous with new hopes and dreams. With every hope and dream comes speculations and even fear. Will they ever come true?

We truly have no idea what this year will bring. It may not be an easy year. It is almost certain that the year comes with its problems and challenges. But the Word of God today gives us a breath of fresh air. It gives us the reassurance that God is with us wherever we go and He will never leave us. By having Him by our side and with His help, we can be sure that victory is ours.

One of the main resolutions that we can put on our list at the beginning of this year is to have a renewed commitment to spiritual discipline in reading and meditating on His Word so that our every move and every decision we make will be in line with the will of God.

Devotion for Parents
Children are great imitators. They do exactly what they see and hear.

Have you been a good role model to your children by meditating upon the Word of God every day? If not, today is the day to start doing it.

Devotion for Kids
Reading the Bible can be boring sometimes. Reading comics, or playing video games seem like the better options. But we need the Word of God for our lives. Comics and movies can’t help us when we are in trouble. The Word of God can.

Would you like to commit to read the Bible and meditate upon it every day?

Family Devotion Time
How does the Word of God help us in times of trouble?
