Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "Look at "UsSample
There was a mother in the Bible that set a good role model for us all. Her name was Mary, the mother of Jesus.
What can we learn from her?
- Obedience. She was known to be obedient to God. She did not understand everything, she had fear, but she chose to obey God. She said, “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Can we be as obedient to God?
- Patience. Mary did not complain when things happened in her life. She did not rebuke Jesus rudely when Jesus stayed behind in the Temple and had her worried. She did not seek revenge towards those who hurt her and Jesus.
- Trusting God no matter what. As a mother, Mary must have been very sad seeing her Son suffer and being tremendously tortured. But Mary trusted in the Lord. She remembered His promises and she held on to those promises. Deep in her heart, she knew that God would fulfill every single one of them. And that's what happened.
