Hurt

DAY 17 OF 21

If your phone dies and you can’t charge it, you might feel like you’ve lost a lifeline. That’s because we rely on our phones for a lot! So, when you unexpectedly don’t have it, it can cause a lot of stress. When we are navigating hurt or tragedy, it can feel similar. It’s as if we’re lost and unsure if the bad times will ever end. We get discouraged, sad, or frustrated. We might even want to give up. It may even seem like there will be no end to the pain, but because of God, there is always hope. Sometimes, that’s what we need more than anything—some sort of confidence that we will be okay. Luckily, God’s Word tells us that God is our source of hope. In God alone, even when we feel lost and without a lifeline, we can find our hope.

Today, if you start to get discouraged, remind yourself that God is our source of hope in all circumstances and seasons of life.
