God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 27
What do you suppose the disciples thought at the Last Supper? When Jesus passed the bread and said, “Have a bite of my flesh,” I imagine someone at the far end of the table responded, “Come again?” And when he passed the wine and said, “Drink my blood,” surely at least one of them choked. But Jesus had a critical purpose.
Sometimes when life gets hard, we begin to wonder if God is really there. We may hear or read about God’s love, but we can’t see his face or feel his arm around our shoulders. God knew the children he created would need tangible reminders of his presence in their lives, so he provided a physical reminder. If ever you doubt God cares for you, pick up the bread and juice and remember what he physically did. He loves you so much, he died to spend eternity with you.
