Purpose in Reverence and Walking in the Light
Ecclesiastes 5:1-7 calls us to approach God with reverence and care. The "Preacher" warns against rash words, empty promises, and chasing after wealth without meaning. These verses remind us that true purpose is found not in empty pursuits but in honoring God with our hearts and actions.
In Ephesians 5, Paul invites us to live purposefully as children of light—walking in love, wisdom, and thanksgiving. He challenges us to avoid deeds of darkness and instead live lives that reflect the goodness and truth of Christ. This passage encourages us to align our daily choices with God’s will, embracing a purposeful life that honors Him and blesses others.
Together, these readings remind us that our purpose is deeply connected to how we live in relationship with God, through reverence, integrity, and intentional living that reflects His light.

How can you cultivate a heart of reverence and live more intentionally as a child of light in your daily life?
Prayer of Illumination:
Lord, teach me to approach you with reverence and to walk in your light each day. Help me to live with integrity, wisdom, and love, reflecting your truth in all I do. By your Spirit, guide me to fulfill the purpose you have for me and to honor you in every step. Amen.
