From the Cross to the World: Living Easter Every DaySample

In the Garden
It was late. The city was quiet. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus knelt to pray, his heart heavy with the weight of what was coming. He knew the betrayal, torture and cross that lay ahead.
Luke tells us he prayed so intensely that his sweat was like drops of blood. And yet, his words were full of surrender: “Not my will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42).
Surrender doesn’t come naturally. We like to hold control, to direct the outcome. But Jesus shows us that the safest place to be — even in the most painful moments — is in the Father’s will.
Our lives have “Gethsemane moments” too. Times when we face uncertainty, loss or fear. It’s in these moments that surrender becomes an act of trust.
Around the world, many live daily in that kind of trust — relying on God for food, safety and provision. Their faith is a living testimony that God’s care is not dependent on circumstances.
When we walk alongside others in their trials, we not only encourage them — we also learn their faith. We’re reminded that the God who was faithful to Jesus in the garden is faithful to us today.
Reflection Questions:
·Where is God inviting you to surrender control?
·Who can you stand beside this week in their own “Gethsemane” moment?
Prayer:
Father, help me trust you fully, even when I don’t understand the path ahead. Teach me to pray with the same surrender Jesus showed in the garden. Amen.

About this Plan

Easter is more than a weekend. It’s the turning point of all history and the heartbeat of our daily lives. The cross shows us the depth of God’s love; the empty tomb reveals his unstoppable power. But the resurrection was never meant to be kept to ourselves. You’ll walk through Holy Week into Resurrection Sunday, exploring what it means to live in the hope of Easter every day. You’ll see how humility, service, surrender, compassion, and mission flow naturally from the risen Christ’s work in us. Each day includes Scripture, a reflection, practical application, and a prayer.
