From the Cross to the World: Living Easter Every DaySample

The Great Commission
After his resurrection, Jesus gathered his disciples on a mountain. He gave them a mission that would stretch across centuries and continents: “Go and make disciples of all nations ... And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19–20).
Easter isn’t the end of the story. It’s the beginning of the Church’s mission. The risen Christ now sends his followers, not just to tell people about him but to demonstrate his love through action.
That mission starts right where we are — at the kitchen table, in the break room, in our neighborhoods — and it extends to the ends of the earth. Every conversation, every act of service, every sacrifice made for the sake of love is part of God’s plan to redeem the world.
We are not alone in this work. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. His presence gives us courage when we feel small, strength when we feel weak and wisdom when we feel unsure.
This is why acts of compassion — whether meeting the needs of a neighbor or supporting a child across the globe — are not just “good deeds.” They are kingdom work. They are part of the ripple effect of Easter.
Reflection Question:
·Where is God calling you to live “sent” today?
·What’s one practical step you can take to make his love visible this week?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you for trusting me with your mission. Fill me with your Spirit and send me into the world with your love, courage and compassion. Amen.

About this Plan

Easter is more than a weekend. It’s the turning point of all history and the heartbeat of our daily lives. The cross shows us the depth of God’s love; the empty tomb reveals his unstoppable power. But the resurrection was never meant to be kept to ourselves. You’ll walk through Holy Week into Resurrection Sunday, exploring what it means to live in the hope of Easter every day. You’ll see how humility, service, surrender, compassion, and mission flow naturally from the risen Christ’s work in us. Each day includes Scripture, a reflection, practical application, and a prayer.
