Anchored in His StrengthSample

Strength After Suffering
Ever since the fall of man, there has been suffering in this world. Sometimes we suffer because of others. Sometimes we suffer because of the choices we have made and the consequences we face. The truth remains that everyone will face suffering at some point. When you go through suffering, which is only temporary, you will realize God is there and that God has been there all along, and God will always be there. He will set your feet on a firm foundation and give you strength in every place where you feel weak.
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you. 1 Peter 5:10 AMPC
Your weakness is not the end of the story. In fact, it may be the beginning of deeper strength. Suffering doesn’t last forever. Even when you’ve been through hard things, God will restore, strengthen, and settle you.
My hope is that as you’ve read through these devotions, you feel your faith in God being strengthened. I hope you understand that strength is more than physical; it is being courageous in following God’s path and plan for your life. I hope you know that God is your strength, and you don’t have to face trials alone. I pray that you will ask God to give you the strength to face each and every day. I pray that you will comprehend how your weakness give space for God’s Strength to show up and for Him to get the glory.
Hold tight to this promise: after a “little while,” God Himself restores what trouble tried to unravel. He doesn’t only patch you up; He establishes and settles you—deep roots, steady footing, clear purpose. Let that hope shape your choices today. Keep showing up in prayer. Stay close to Scripture. Lean into community. Offer simple acts of love. These quiet acts of obedience are how God strengthens you from the inside out while He is completing what concerns you.
As this 30-day journey closes, carry these truths forward: your Savior is present in your suffering, generous in His grace, and faithful to finish what He started. Where you feel fragile, He is firm. Where you feel scattered, He settles you. May your life keep echoing the testimony of this plan: God is your strength, today and always.
Here is a song to encourage you as you anchor yourself in God's Strength...Strength To Soar!
Reflection Question:
Looking back over these 30 days, what is one concrete practice you will keep (prayer rhythm, Scripture habit, act of service) so you continue walking in the strength God promises?
