Sometimes we’ve been so overexposed to poverty theology that hearing “God wants you to prosper” sounds like heresy. Look, God is not sitting in heaven wringing His hands, saying, “Oh dear, I didn’t plan for her rent this month.” No way! The Bible says, “The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine”(Haggai 2:8). Meaning, your heavenly Father owns everything, and He’s not stingy. If earthly parents want their kids to do well, how much more your Father in heaven?

Prosperity isn’t just about “name it and claim it.” It’s about relationship. God prospers you because you belong to Him. Would you walk past your child begging on the street while holding a bag full of cash? Of course not! In the same way, when we align with God’s heart, He pours into us, not just money, but ideas, opportunities, favour, and wisdom that translate into provision.

Prosperity is not evil. What’s evil is when money owns you, not when you own money. 1 Timothy 6:10 doesn’t say money is the root of all evil—it says the love of money is. Big difference! So if God can trust you to not idolize wealth, He’ll bless you with more than you can imagine. Prosperity with purpose is powerful. You’re not here to barely survive—you’re here to thrive and make an impact.

So next time you’re praying for provision, don’t beg like a stranger. Remind yourself: I am a child of the King. He doesn’t want me crawling through life. He wants me shining, sharing, and showing off His goodness. So chin up, child of God—He delights in your prosperity(Psalm 35:27).

God delights in my prosperity! I am not a beggar—I am a blessed child of a wealthy Father. I prosper in my spirit, soul, body, and finances. I refuse to settle for lack when God has called me into abundance. I walk in divine supply daily!
