Day 12: Courage to Love God Out Loud

Devotional:
David was known as a man after God’s own heart, and one of the clearest pictures of that is when he danced before the Lord with all his might. He wasn’t worried about looking “cool,” polished, or put-together; he was focused on honoring God. When Saul’s daughter, Michal, despised his worship and mocked him, God took it seriously and closed her womb. That moment shows us that God defends those who love Him openly, even when others laugh or misunderstand. We may not offer animal sacrifices today, but our worship—our singing, our lifestyle, our gratitude—is still a sacrifice God notices. Loving God out loud in a world that shrugs at faith takes real courage. David teaches us that God is more impressed with humble, honest worship than with a perfect image.

Raising your hands in worship, bowing your head to pray over your lunch, or posting about your faith when others stay silent is choosing God’s approval over the crowd’s opinion.

Let’s Talk To God: God, help me not be ashamed of loving You in public or in private. Give me courage to worship freely and live boldly for You, no matter who’s watching.
