DAY 1 OF 14

Day 1: Courage to Become What You’ve Never Seen

Devotional:
In Genesis 12:1, God tells Abram to leave everything familiar—his land, his family, his comfort. God could’ve given a long explanation, but instead He simply said, “Go.” God’s instructions don’t always come with all the details, but they always come with purpose. Leaving what you know will often feel like losing control, but with God it’s really the start of becoming who you were always meant to be. And as Abram stepped out in obedience, God later changed his name to Abraham—a sign that trusting God’s direction will always reshape your identity, not just your destination. Abraham had the courage to obey without a blueprint, and his obedience made him the father of our faith. The same God who called Abraham out is calling you to trust Him beyond what you can see right now.

Stepping into a new school, new team, or new friend group where nobody knows you can feel scary—but like Abraham, your “yes” might be the start of a whole new future.

Let’s Talk To God:
Lord, give me the courage to leave what feels safe when You are calling me deeper.
Help me trust that whatever I give up for You will always lead me to You.

Reflection:
Where is God asking you to trust Him beyond what you can see? What future might your fear be costing you?

About this Plan

Model It

This 14-day devotional is designed to help you grow into the kind of young leader God can trust. Fear and uncertainty are real, but God still calls you to rise. Courage isn’t about always feeling brave—it’s choosing faith even when your hands shake. Across these 14 days, you’ll explore stories of people in Scripture who trusted God when nothing made sense, spoke up when silence felt safer, and chose integrity when no one was watching. You’ll learn that courage isn’t something you wait for; it’s something you practice with God’s help, one decision at a time.
