Day 7: Courage to Choose Integrity When No One Is Looking

Devotional:
David had the perfect chance to get revenge on Saul, the king who was trying to kill him. Hidden in a cave, David watched Saul walk in, completely unaware that David and his men were there. His crew urged him to take the shortcut—“This is your moment, just do it.” Instead, David only cut a piece of Saul’s robe and immediately felt convicted in his heart. He knew that just because he could do something didn’t mean it honored God. Integrity means choosing God’s way, even when the wrong way seems easier, faster, and no one would ever know. David’s choice in secret revealed a heart that feared God more than people, and that’s the kind of heart God can trust with influence.

Deleting the cheat sheet, closing the DM, or walking away from drama when nobody would have found out shows more courage than going along with what everyone else thinks is “no big deal”.

Let’s Talk To God: God, help me care more about honoring You than impressing people. Give me courage to make the right choice, especially when no one is watching but You.
