Day 8: Courage to Be Consistent When It’s Easier Not To

Devotional:
Consistency takes courage, especially when doing the right thing becomes unpopular or dangerous. Daniel’s enemies created a law that made praying to anyone but the king illegal, just to trap him. But Daniel didn’t panic, hide, or switch up his routine to fit in. He did what he had always done—opened his windows, knelt down, and prayed to God three times a day. His consistency didn’t keep him out of the lions’ den, but it carried him through it, and God protected him inside the place designed to destroy him. Sometimes courage isn’t a big dramatic moment; it’s showing up for God day after day, even when it costs you. The same God who shut the lions’ mouths for Daniel will honor your steady faith too.

Still praying, showing up to church, reading your Bible, or doing the right thing even when your friends clown you, for it is quiet, everyday courage that Heaven celebrates.

Let’s Talk To God: Lord, give me courage to keep choosing You even when it feels hard or lonely. Help my daily habits reflect my faith, not just my feelings.
