Day 2: Courage to Believe When It Doesn’t Make Sense

Devotional:
Sometimes God asks you to do things that don’t make sense to anybody else. Noah understood this when God told him to build a massive ark even though it had never rained like that before and there was no sign of a flood. Imagine building a giant boat far from water while everyone around you laughs, questions, and criticizes. Noah chose obedience over understanding, faith over public opinion. His decision to trust God saved his whole family and preserved the future. Our “ark moments” may be smaller, like praying before a game, saying grace at school, or choosing purity, but they still require courage to stand out. When you choose to obey God even when it looks irrational, you’re saying, “I trust what God knows more than what I see.”

Choosing to honor God with your body, time, or decisions—even when everyone else thinks you’re doing too much—is your version of picking up the hammer and building your “ark.”

Let’s Talk To God: God, help me trust Your instructions even when I don’t have all the details. Give me courage to stand out in obedience instead of blending in with what’s easy.
