Day 16: A Little Boy Offers to Help

A little boy heard Jesus telling his disciples to give everyone food. He wanted to help out too.

How do you think a little boy could help feed 5000 people?

The little boy offered his dinner to Jesus: five small loaves of bread and two small fish.

Even though the boy didn't have a lot of food, he shared everything that he had. Would you have given away all your food if Jesus asked?

Andrew said, “Now we have some bread and fish. But how will we feed 5000 people with it?”

What do you think Jesus did?

Jesus took the basket of food, then he looked up at heaven and prayed, “Thank you God for this bread and fish.” He broke the food up into pieces and gave them to his disciples to share with the crowd.

Do you think there was enough food for everyone?

Everyone ate until they were full! And there were still twelve baskets of food left over!
