Children's Guide to the Miracles of JesusSample

Day 6: Water into Wine!
Jesus saw six huge stone jars, so he told the servants, "Pour water into these jars." The servants filled the jars to the brim.

The servants weren't sure why Jesus wanted them to do this. They needed wine for the wedding, not water!
Then Jesus told them, "Now take some water out of the jars and bring it to the master of the banquet."
The servants looked at one another. What would the master of the banquet think? He wanted wine, not water!
What do you think the servants were thinking? Were they afraid the guests would be upset? If you were a servant, would you dare to bring a jar of water in when the guests wanted wine?
Even though it didn't make sense, the servants did what Jesus told them. Do you obey Jesus even when you don't understand his plan?

The master of the banquet didn't suspect a thing. He took a long drink then grinned happily, "This wine is delicious!" He had no idea that just moments before, his wine had been water.

But the disciples knew. They were amazed and believed in Jesus strongly. After the wedding, Jesus, his disciples, his brothers, and his mother all went home to Capernaum.
How would you feel if you saw this miracle? What would you think about Jesus?
