“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” - Romans 8:11 (ESV)

The death and resurrection of Jesus is one of the most remarkable events in human history. It is the climax of God’s story, a moment when sin was defeated, death was swallowed up, and humanity was offered new life. And here, in Romans 8:11, Paul makes a staggering promise: the very same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you.

This is not a passive presence. It is power at work. The Spirit who overcame the grave empowers us to live in freedom, to resist sin, and to bear witness to Jesus in our daily lives. He equips us with gifts, wisdom, faith, encouragement, healing, and more, so that we can participate in God’s mission here and now.

Too often we underestimate the resources we have at hand. God has placed His Spirit in you not only for comfort but for powerful, transformative action, through prayer, service, teaching, and acts of love. Your ordinary life becomes a canvas for extraordinary work when you rely on Him.
