Pilgrimage

DAY 11 OF 40

Week 3 – Day 11(Monday)

Psalm 103:1-5 – All of Me

The Pharisees continue to taunt Jesus, trying to discredit Him by claiming His power comes from evil and Beelzebub. (Matthew 12:33-37) Jesus responds with a clear illustration – “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad, and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.” Jesus used this fruit tree illustration as a lesson: we are known by the fruit we produce.

Today’s psalm speaks of “all your inmost being.” What you fill your time and attention with will be stored in our souls and eventually manifest outward. Paul encourages us to fill ourselves with, or “think about such things” that are noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and excellent. (Philippians 4:8) When you fill your inmost being with these qualities, the pure fruit of the Lord flows out of us.
