Week 3 – Day 12 (Tuesday)
Psalm 92:12-13 – Thrive
Jesus was a master storyteller. People were mesmerized by his parables. In Matthew 13:1-23, Jesus shares the Parable of the Sower, which is a simple story about a farmer planting seeds. Jesus explains that the seed represents the Word of God, the farmer is the Messenger of that Word, and the various types of soil symbolize the hearts’ conditions and receptiveness to the Word. The varying soil conditions determine how well the crop will flourish.
God delights in helping the righteous flourish in their relationship with Him, ensuring they are firmly connected and deeply bonded to Him. Just as the Cedar of Lebanon in Psalm 92 symbolizes the strength and fruitfulness of our relationship with Him, so does the “good soil” from the Parable of the Sower.
