Day 5: There Is Hope for You
Hopelessness says: “There is no hope for me.”
GOD SAYS: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13 NIV).
Even if you can’t find it right now, you have hope. Your God is “the God of hope,” and He has not left you without it. Please hear this:
You are not beyond hope.
You are not beyond help.
You are not beyond repair.
You are not beyond value.
You are not beyond purpose.
As one who has placed your faith in Jesus, you have the Holy Spirit of hope living inside you. This Holy Spirit is God Himself, and He does many things for you that are truly hope-giving.
The Holy Spirit:
● Is the guarantee of your eternity with God (2 Corinthians 1:21–22)
● Is your helper and comforter (John 14:16)
● Is your teacher, guiding you to truth and wisdom (John 16:13)
● Reveals what God has given you – peace, joy, love, freedom, and hope – so that you can know the fullness of life in Jesus (1 Corinthians 2:12)
● Has given you gifts to bless other Believers. Others need what God has given you to share (1 Corinthians 12:4–7)
● Intercedes for you. Did you know the Holy Spirit prays for you? He intervenes on behalf of your weakness (Romans 8:26–27)
● Empowers you with the strength to do God’s will (Galatians 5:16)
● Imparts God’s love to your heart (Romans 5:5)
Nothing is impossible for God – even helping you find His light amid the darkness, helping you heal from devastating hurts, helping you find joy amid sorrow, and helping you cling to His truth over the enemy’s lies.
What we focus on grows in our perception. Shift your focus to see God’s wonders, His Holy Spirit inside you, and the gifts He brings.
God is not finished with you. He has more for you to do and more of His love for you to experience. Keep looking at Him. Ask Him to help you trust Him, know His love, and experience His overflowing hope. As you trust Him, His Holy Spirit will pour out this hope to you.
Prayer
God of hope, fill our friend with all joy and peace. Show them Your hope and Your deep love for them. Strengthen them today.
About this Plan
