PRAY DAILY!

I’m so happy that you’ve joined us on this journey to a deeper, more powerful prayer life. We know that we need to pray, but let’s start digging deeper into exactly what that entails in our daily lives.

God gave us the Bible so we could learn how to live from the Bible. And today we’re going to see how to pray from the Bible. We will look at Daniel, the first of several very courageous prayer warriors in the scriptures. We’re going to discover the power that Daniel and others carried in their very souls.

As we learn in Daniel 6:3-11, “…Daniel began distinguishing himself among the commissioners and the satraps because he possessed an extraordinary spirit, and the king planned to appoint him over the entire kingdom.” (v 3, NASB1995). But those same commissioners and satraps were eager to find accusations against Daniel in regard to government affairs. However, they could find no wrongdoing (v4, NASB1995). So, they used his devotion to God and daily prayer against him.

But you will see how Daniel, a mighty man of faith and prayer, overcame the ultimate battle. My friend, if you only pray when you are on the threshold of trouble, when you see a storm coming your direction, then you are already in deep trouble. If you only pray when you are in a battle, then you will stay in continual crisis. I have learned that powerful people pray first and then talk or make decisions second.

Be like Daniel – don’t wait! Pray first, and everything else will fall into place. Start praying bold, courageous prayers right now!

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Thank you, Lord, for showing us how to live and pray daily from the Bible! I seek you first and then respond. I am grateful for the rich guidance you’ve provided to not only live according to your word, but to thrive. I want to be like Daniel…a mighty prayer warrior who overcomes life’s battles, not one who buckles under the pressure of storms. I step out boldly today in prayer and expectation. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
