PRAY COURAGEOUSLY!

I hope that yesterday’s look at Daniel’s extraordinary faith and his unwavering devotion to prayer, even in the face of unimaginable adversity, was as inspiring to you as it was to me. Talk about a prayer warrior!

Now, let’s look at someone else in the Old Testament - Abraham. God and Abraham were having a conversation one day. And isn’t that what prayer is? It’s when a human being…a man, a woman, a child decides to have a conversation with the God of the universe.

And when they were having a conversation that particular day, God shared with Abraham His great concern about two cities, Sodom and Gomorrah. Maybe you’ve heard of those cities before. Sodom and Gomorrah were desperately evil places. And so Abraham began to petition God on behalf of the righteous people who lived in those two cities because God said all He could do was destroy them.

Abraham began to barter with God…back and forth until he arrived at his desired conclusion. One could say that he was relentless. He would not give up, give in, or stop until he was satisfied.

Like Abraham, we must also be relentless and perpetual in prayer. You are not bothering God. Be persistent. You just might be on the brink of a miracle!

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Lord, I come to you with a strong conviction to be more courageous in my prayer life…boldly communing with you daily. I seek you and your direction first, expecting your healing and spiritual power to overtake all human realms and bring all needs before your throne of mercy and grace. Thank you, that I too will be relentless in my prayers! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
