Bigger Than UsSample

In a world where “love” is often reduced to words, feelings, or convenience, Paul’s words cut through the noise: “Love must be sincere” (Romans 12:9). Real love isn’t fake or selective—it doesn’t disappear when it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable. Genuine, Christ-like love is honest, active, and anchored in goodness. Paul called believers to a deeper kind of relationship, one marked by devotion and honor. This means choosing to care even when it costs something—listening when it’s easier to talk, forgiving when it hurts, and serving when no one notices. True love reflects the heart of Jesus, who didn’t just say “I love you,” but proved it through His actions and sacrifice.
In what ways can you show sincere, selfless love to the people around you this week? Are there relationships where you’ve been loving “in word” but not “in deed”? How might honoring others above yourself change the way you interact—with family, coworkers, or church members?
Today, look for one opportunity to honor someone else above yourself—offer encouragement, celebrate another’s success, or meet a quiet need without seeking recognition. Because when love is sincere, it points others straight to the heart of God.

About this Plan

The real challenge in life is not how well we start but how we stay faithful over time. In this devotional, we will journey with God’s people as they move from brokenness to renewal. We’ll meet a God who uses personal burdens, teamwork, perseverance through opposition, His Word, and lifelong faithfulness to accomplish His purposes. When the opposition feels too strong, there’s a bigger God who meets us in the middle of it all—a God who works in and through ordinary people.
