Bigger Than UsSample

Paul wrote these words from prison—a place that looked nothing like success—yet his heart overflowed with joy and confidence. Why? Because he trusted that God finishes what He starts. Sometimes we feel stuck between what God began and what He’s yet to complete. Maybe you started strong in your faith—in a calling, or in a season of growth—but now you’re weary, uncertain, or disappointed by slow progress. Paul reminds us that the good work God started in you isn’t dependent on your perfection—it’s sustained by His faithfulness.
God doesn’t abandon projects halfway through. He’s not discouraged by your detours or setbacks. The same God who began shaping your heart, refining your character, and growing your faith will keep working—patiently, purposefully—until His masterpiece is complete. You may not see the finish line yet, but God’s not done with you.
Where do you feel unfinished or incomplete right now? How can you trust God’s timing in the “in-between” moments of your growth? Who in your life could use encouragement that God is still working in them, too?
When discouragement whispers that nothing’s changing, remember this truth: God’s grace never gives up. His plans never stall. His hands never stop building something beautiful in you.

About this Plan

The real challenge in life is not how well we start but how we stay faithful over time. In this devotional, we will journey with God’s people as they move from brokenness to renewal. We’ll meet a God who uses personal burdens, teamwork, perseverance through opposition, His Word, and lifelong faithfulness to accomplish His purposes. When the opposition feels too strong, there’s a bigger God who meets us in the middle of it all—a God who works in and through ordinary people.
