Courage Under PressureSample

Courage Trusts In God
When the golden statue was raised, everyone was commanded to bow. Everyone did it except three men: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Their response still echoes through the centuries:
“God is able to rescue us… but even if He does not, we will not bow.”
This statement reveals mature faith. It is not a faith based on outcomes but on the character of God.
Sometimes we expect God to rescue us before the fire: to remove the illness, stop the loss, or resolve the conflict. And many times, He does.
But other times, His presence does not remove the fire — He walks with us through it.
The king saw a fourth man walking with them in the flames. God had not abandoned them.
Perhaps today you are facing your own furnace. Maybe you don’t understand why God did not intervene earlier. Can you trust God, even when He does not remove the pain?
Remember this:
God’s presence in the trial is greater than the absence of difficulty.
Reflect
- Does your trust in God depend on things turning out the way you expect?
- Can you rest in His presence even if the situation does not change?
Prayer
Lord, teach me to trust You beyond the results. If I must walk through the fire, walk with me.

About this Plan

We live in a culture that constantly pressures our faith, redefines values, and challenges our convictions. In this 5-day plan by Suki Kangas, we will learn from the Bible how God’s people showed courage while living in exile. Through their stories, we will discover how to remain firm when the world pressures and opposes us. You will learn how to put God first, trust Him in the fire, live in truth, serve with courage, and persevere each day.
