Courage Under PressureSample

Courage Puts Others Before Self
Esther did not imagine that her personal story would become the instrument of salvation for her people. But when the decree promoted by Haman threatened the Jews, she realised that her position was not an accident.
“Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Sometimes God places us strategically where we are: in a family, a workplace, a community.
Esther was afraid, but she prayed, fasted, and stepped forward.
Courage is not the absence of fear.
It is obedience despite fear.
Perhaps God is calling you to speak up, to defend someone, to serve, or to intervene.
Maybe no one else can do it from the place where you are.
When we put others before ourselves, we reflect the heart of Christ.
Reflect
- What responsibility have you been avoiding because of fear?
- Could it be that God has placed you where you are “for such a time as this”?
Prayer
Lord, help me recognise Your purpose in the place where I am today. Use me to bless others.
About this Plan

We live in a culture that constantly pressures our faith, redefines values, and challenges our convictions. In this 5-day plan by Suki Kangas, we will learn from the Bible how God’s people showed courage while living in exile. Through their stories, we will discover how to remain firm when the world pressures and opposes us. You will learn how to put God first, trust Him in the fire, live in truth, serve with courage, and persevere each day.
