Courage Under PressureSample

Courage Perseveres
Daniel did not start praying when the crisis came — it was already his habit.
When the decree forbade prayer, he simply continued doing what he had always done: opening his window and speaking with God.
He did not seek attention.
He did not compromise his faith.
He simply persevered.
The Christian life is not sustained by occasional intense moments, but by daily and consistent decisions.
Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den under King Darius the Mede, and God shut the lions’ mouths.
But the real miracle had already happened long before: a steady heart that did not depend on human approval.
Perseverance means choosing God again today, tomorrow, and the day after.
Reflect
- What do your spiritual habits look like when no one is watching?
- What decision do you need to renew before God today?
Prayer
Lord, sustain my faithfulness. May my faith not depend on circumstances, but remain steady.
Conclusion
Christian courage is often not loud or dramatic.
It is faithfulness in everyday life.
It is trust in the middle of the fire.
It is humility when success comes.
It is serving others when there is risk.
It is daily private perseverance.
And it does not come from our strength, but from the One who remained faithful to the cross and now lives within us. Can you start one concrete and sustainable spiritual habit today?

About this Plan

We live in a culture that constantly pressures our faith, redefines values, and challenges our convictions. In this 5-day plan by Suki Kangas, we will learn from the Bible how God’s people showed courage while living in exile. Through their stories, we will discover how to remain firm when the world pressures and opposes us. You will learn how to put God first, trust Him in the fire, live in truth, serve with courage, and persevere each day.
