Courage Under Pressure

DAY 3 OF 5

Courage Accepts The Truth

Daniel received a difficult revelation: the king’s dream showed that God would judge the king for his pride. Speaking the truth could have cost Daniel dearly. Yet Daniel spoke with both respect and clarity.

Truth can be uncomfortable, but it also brings freedom.

Pride had filled the king’s heart. He believed everything he had was the result of his own greatness.

Isn’t that also a constant temptation for us? When things go well, when we achieve goals, when we receive recognition, pride makes us forget that everything comes from God.

Only when the king recognised God’s sovereignty was he restored.

Living in truth means allowing God to examine our hearts. It means accepting corrections. It means surrendering control.

And although it can be painful, truth always leads to restoration.

Reflect

  • Is there an area where pride may be taking root in your life?
  • Are you willing to allow God to confront what needs to change?
  • Do you need to speak the truth to a friend with love?

Prayer

Father, free me from self-deception. Give me a humble heart that loves the truth and the courage to face the truth always.

About this Plan

Courage Under Pressure

We live in a culture that constantly pressures our faith, redefines values, and challenges our convictions. In this 5-day plan by Suki Kangas, we will learn from the Bible how God’s people showed courage while living in exile. Through their stories, we will discover how to remain firm when the world pressures and opposes us. You will learn how to put God first, trust Him in the fire, live in truth, serve with courage, and persevere each day.
