New Things

The words “solitude” and “desert” are not very pleasant, to say the least. In life, we want to avoid them, and they are certainly not welcome. They are words that seem to rise up like great walls before us with the sole purpose of stopping us and not letting us move forward. The images that come to mind are gray and devoid of color. If we translate them into life itself, they generate negative thoughts and emotions that affect our peace.

But the grace of God, His restoring grace, speaks to our hearts. God gives us words of faith so that we may trust in Him and know and believe that there is no desert in our lives, nor feelings of loneliness, that He cannot change. How comforting are His words in Isaiah 43:19! “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (NIV)

“Blessed is those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God.” (Psalm. 146:5)

God with us, in the midst of all our circumstances, opens paths of blessing for us and brings our hope to life.

Let Us Pray

Beloved Father, I rejoice in knowing that You have a path of blessing for me. I praise You because all Your promises are fulfilled in my life, and there is no desert that can stop me when I know that You are with me. Thank You, Lord, in the name of my beloved Savior, Amen.
