Our Help

God's thoughts for His people are thoughts of good. There is no doubt that there is a time to laugh and a time to weep, and that the sky will not always be blue. But for our lives, no matter the scenery, the presence of God is real, His promises are true, and His faithfulness is forever. It is from that divine presence that new strength flows for us. His power tears down the walls that try to rise before us to undermine our faith, and He opens a way for us in the desert, a path of blessing.

God spoke words of restoration to His people Israel. The Lord promised them comfort and changes in their lives for the better. The difficulties they faced would become only a memory, and joy would fill their hearts: “joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.” (Isaiah 51:3). It is the love of God that speaks to us for our good, to bless, and to restore. If you feel you are in a desert, receive these words from God by faith; though they were spoken to the people of Israel, they are true for us as well.

When our trust is placed in God, even in difficult times, His help sustains us and we are comforted by His Holy Spirit.

“Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” (Psalm 28:6-7)

Let Us Pray

Lord, I need You; my hope is in You. Help me to wait on Your mercy and to trust in Your faithfulness. You work on my behalf, and I know that You cover me with Your power and Your immense love. I give glory to Your holy name and thank You for all that You do and all that You will do to bless me. In the name of Jesus, amen.
