Keep Christ at the Center

A strong marriage is not built on two people holding onto each other—it is built on two people holding onto Christ. When Jesus is at the center, everything else begins to fall into its proper place.

I remember someone once telling me something that deeply shaped how I view my marriage: “Never forget, your wife isn’t just the daughter of her earthly father—she is the daughter of the Most High God. And how you treat her is seen by Him.” That perspective changes everything. It adds weight to your words, intentionality to your actions, and reverence to the way you love. When Christ is truly at the center, you don’t just see your spouse for who they are—you see them for who they belong to.

As Craig Groeschel said, “If you want a marriage that honors God in the future, live a life that honors God today.” If Christ is not the foundation, pressure will eventually expose cracks. But when He is your anchor, your relationship can remain steady through every season.

This same principle extends beyond your relationship—it reaches into every area of your life, including your finances. Your budget reveals what matters most to you. When you put God first in your finances, you’re trusting Him as your provider, not just your income. Giving to Him first keeps your heart aligned and reminds you that everything you have comes from Him. When your money is centered on God, it brings peace, direction, and helps you steward your resources in a way that honors Him.
