Stepping Into the FutureSample

As you step into the future, I invite you to go about each activity in obedience to what God has commanded.
Courage is not a matter of gathering the nerve to act–rather, courage is living a life shaped by obedience to God.
God will provide you with the courage for the often-daunting task of understanding how to be obedient in the ethical situations you may face at work today as you step into the future.
The courage to do the right thing at work today comes from:
- Meditating on God’s word,
- by making sure that God’s word is the center of your life, and
- by being in community with other believers in your workplace.
You may have a lot of work to accomplish today as you step into the future. By taking the time before jumping into your work to first immerse yourself in God’s word, you are admitting that God is sufficient to help you finish what needs to get done today. By immersing yourself first in God’s word, you acknowledge that God is guiding you into your future.
Stepping into the future God has for you comes by continued reliance and obedience to God in your new future. There is no place for you to rest on your own abilities, your own wealth, your own success, or on other people in your future.
As you step into the future, if you sin (which we all do), God will freely and graciously forgive you as soon as you ask. Then God will give you a fresh start on your journey into the future.
You have the right and privilege to live without fear! So step into the future by immersing yourself in God’s word and choosing to obey the Lord.
Your choice to obey, and your future are enjoyed in the presence of God, who loved you so much that he gave his Son for you.
God is inviting you today to live with his power, his love, and self-control! God is inviting you today to live with the confidence that He will fulfill his promises to you in his time, which is the best time!
Prayer: Father, speak to me from your word today. Grant me wisdom for the decisions I have to make. Thank you for being more than able to help me finish what I need to accomplish today. Thank you for allowing me to live today without fear, as I choose to obey you. Help me to be strong and courageous as I step into the future. Amen.
