IT IS WELL

DAY 2 OF 5

"It Is Well" — The Power of Positive Confession

“Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?” And she answered, “It is well.” — 2 Kings 4:26

Her child was dead on the bed at home. Yet when asked, she said, “It is well.” This was not denial — she wasn’t pretending nothing was wrong. She was choosing to seek God’s verdict before declaring her own. She rode hard toward the man of God, but she spoke life the entire way.

Positive confession is not pretending hardship doesn’t exist. It is refusing to let your circumstances have the final word. She knew where the authority lay and she was running toward it. What crisis are you facing today that needs you to say, “It is well” — not because all is fine, but because you know to Whom you are running?

REFLECT & RESPOND

◆ Where in your life are you confessing the crisis more than you are confessing God’s power?

◆ What would it look like to run toward God with urgency in times of trouble like the Shunammite woman?

PRAY

Father, I choose today to seek Your perspective before declaring my own. Teach me to hold my tongue and run to You first.

About this Plan

IT IS WELL

She had no name in Scripture. Yet the God who saw her was never done with her. Over five days, walk through the story of the Shunammite woman and discover a God who brings unexpected blessing, who hears the prayer that never left your lips, and who gives back — with interest — everything the enemy stole.
