Divine Restoration and Restitution
“Give back everything that belonged to her, including all the income from her land from the day she left the country until now.” — 2 Kings 8:6
The timing is breathtaking. The king is at that very moment asking Gehazi to recount Elisha’s miracles — and as he describes the resurrection of the Shunammite’s son, she walks through the door with the living proof. She arrived at exactly the right moment, with exactly the right evidence. God is always on time.
She didn’t just get her land back — she received seven years of income she didn’t even know she had. This is restitution: not just restoration to where you were, but compensation for everything lost. What looked like a detour, loss, and delay was actually God-ordained accumulation. Romans 8:28 was her story. It is your story too.
REFLECT & RESPOND
◆ What loss, delay, or “detour” in your life might God actually be redeeming for something greater?
◆ Whose testimony might God be preparing to advocate on your behalf right now?
◆ What would it look like to stop living in fear and start living in confident expectation of God’s restoration?
PRAY
Father, I trust that You are working in all things. I release fear and discouragement. You are my Provider, Defender, Protector, and the Lover of my soul. Restore — and more.
About this Plan

She had no name in Scripture. Yet the God who saw her was never done with her. Over five days, walk through the story of the Shunammite woman and discover a God who brings unexpected blessing, who hears the prayer that never left your lips, and who gives back — with interest — everything the enemy stole.
