IT IS WELLSample

Bold, Persistent Faith
“As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” — 2 Kings 4:30
When Elisha tried to send Gehazi with his staff, the Shunammite woman refused the substitute. She wanted the real thing — the prophet himself. “I will not leave you.” Bold. Specific. Unrelenting. She caught Elisha by the feet and held on until he listened and went to her house. Her persistence brought her a miracle.
Gehazi went ahead with the staff and nothing happened. But when Elisha came personally, stretched himself over the child, and prayed — the child sneezed seven times and opened his eyes. Sometimes God is testing whether we will settle for the staff or press for His full presence.
REFLECT & RESPOND
◆ Where have you accepted a substitute — a quick fix or a halfway answer — instead of pressing through until you encounter full breakthrough for yourself?
◆ What does holy boldness look like for you in prayer this week?
PRAY:
God, I will not settle for less than Your full Presence and full breakthrough. I hold on today. I will not let go.
About this Plan

She had no name in Scripture. Yet the God who saw her was never done with her. Over five days, walk through the story of the Shunammite woman and discover a God who brings unexpected blessing, who hears the prayer that never left your lips, and who gives back — with interest — everything the enemy stole.
