Galatians: Chapter by ChapterSample

Children of Promise
Paul points the Galatians back to Abraham to show that God’s plan has always been based on faith. Abraham was counted righteous because he believed God, long before the law was given.
The law had an important purpose, but it was temporary. It revealed sin and pointed people toward their need for a Savior. The law was never intended to save humanity. Only Jesus can do that.
I’ve noticed there were areas in my life where I hadn’t fully trusted God. I was depending on relationships, education, or my own abilities. But when I started walking in deeper trust in God, growth happened more than I expected.
Faith changes how we live. When we trust ourselves, we eventually hit limits. But when we trust God, we begin to experience His strength, provision, and leading in ways we could never manufacture on our own.
Paul explains that through faith in Christ, believers become children of God. No longer separated by ethnicity, status, or background, all believers are united in Christ Jesus.
People naturally assume they must earn favor with God through morality or religious activity. But the gospel teaches the opposite. Salvation is a gift of grace received through faith.
Because of Jesus, believers are no longer condemned or spiritually distant. They are fully welcomed into God’s family.
Faith in Christ makes us part of God’s family.
Respond to God’s Word
- Surrender an area of your life where you have struggled to trust God.
- Write down one way God has proven faithful to you in the past.
- Take one practical step today that reflects trust in God instead of dependence on yourself.
