Day 10: Grace for the Gaps
Scripture: 1 John 1:9 (NIV)
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Integrity isn't about being perfect. If it were, nobody would qualify.
The goal isn't a spotless record. It's a pattern of honesty, including honesty about when you've failed. Because the person who can admit they were wrong and make it right is actually more trustworthy than the person who never admits anything.
You're going to compromise sometimes. You're going to say something you shouldn't, take a shortcut you knew was wrong, or let someone down when you meant to show up. That's not the end of your integrity. What you do next is.
Confession isn't just a religious ritual. It's the practice of being honest about who you are and what you've done, with God and sometimes with people. It's what keeps you from building a life on a version of yourself that isn't real.
God already knows. You're not informing Him of anything when you confess. You're just agreeing with what He already sees, and opening the door for Him to do something about it.
The grace He offers isn't permission to keep cutting corners. It's the power to actually change. To become the person whose private life matches their public one. That's what integrity is really about.
Reflect: Is there something you've been carrying that you haven't been honest with God about? What's keeping you from bringing it to Him?
Today: Confess one thing to God today. Out loud if you can. Then receive the forgiveness He already has for you. Don't just ask for it. Actually take it.

About this Plan

Kingdom Grind is a 20-day devotional designed to help high school students connect their faith to real, everyday life. Over four weeks, students explore four foundational themes —vision, integrity, stewardship, and impact — through Scripture, honest reflection, and a practical daily action step. Each devotional is grounded, direct, and built for students who want their faith to shape not just who they are, but what they build.
