DAY 13 OF 20

Day 13: The Parable You Live In

Scripture: Matthew 25:21 (NIV)
"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'"

The Parable of the Talents isn't just a story about money. It's a story about what you do with what you've been given, and what happens based on that choice.

Two servants invested what they had. One buried it. The master's response to the two who invested wasn't "well done, impressive servant" or "well done, talented servant." It was "well done, faithful servant."

Faithfulness is the metric. Not results. Not scale. Not how impressive the output looks. Did you use what you had?

You might be looking at your life right now and thinking you don't have much to work with. Limited resources. Limited opportunities. Limited influence. And maybe that's true in some ways. But the servant who got one talent still got something. And burying it was still a choice.

What you have right now is enough to start. The skill you have, even if it's undeveloped. The time you have, even if it feels limited. The relationships you have, even if they're small. God isn't waiting for you to have more before He asks you to be faithful. He's asking you to be faithful with what's already in your hands.

The reward for faithfulness isn't retirement. It's more. More trust. More responsibility. More of what God has for you.

Reflect: What's one thing you have right now that you've been waiting to use until you have "more"?

Today: Use it. Start small. Offer the skill. Invest the time. Take the step. Faithfulness starts today, not later.

About this Plan

Kingdom Grind

Kingdom Grind is a 20-day devotional designed to help high school students connect their faith to real, everyday life. Over four weeks, students explore four foundational themes —vision, integrity, stewardship, and impact — through Scripture, honest reflection, and a practical daily action step. Each devotional is grounded, direct, and built for students who want their faith to shape not just who they are, but what they build.
