WEEK 2: INTEGRITY
Who you are when no one's watching is who you actually are.
Day 6: The Version Nobody Sees
Scripture: Luke 16:10 (NIV)
"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much."
There's the version of you that shows up when people are watching. And then there's the version that shows up when they're not.
Jesus is pretty direct about which one actually matters.
The small stuff is where your character gets built or eroded. Not the big moments. Not the dramatic decisions. The quiz nobody would know you cheated on. The story you could slightly exaggerate, and nobody would catch it. The money you could pocket because no one's counting. The credit you could take for someone else's work.
Those moments feel low stakes. But Jesus says they're actually the highest stakes, because they reveal who you really are when the pressure of being watched is removed.
Integrity isn't something you turn on for important situations. It's a pattern you build through a thousand small decisions that nobody applauds. And the reason it matters isn't just moral. It's practical. God doesn't hand big responsibilities to people who cut corners in small ones.
If you want to build something that lasts, lead people well, run a business with real impact, or do anything that requires trust, it starts here. In the small, unseen, unglamorous choices you make today.
The version of you that nobody sees is the version God is building for what's next.
Reflect: Is there a small area of your life where you've been cutting corners because you figured it didn't matter?
Today: Do one thing with integrity today that nobody will see or know about. Don't tell anyone. Just do it.

About this Plan

Kingdom Grind is a 20-day devotional designed to help high school students connect their faith to real, everyday life. Over four weeks, students explore four foundational themes —vision, integrity, stewardship, and impact — through Scripture, honest reflection, and a practical daily action step. Each devotional is grounded, direct, and built for students who want their faith to shape not just who they are, but what they build.
