The old has gone, the new has come! Yan ang sabi ng Bible. This means that the "old you" has gone: the sick you, the poor you, the sad you, the sinner you, the dirty you & the unrighteous you. These have all GONE. It is not trying to go away and you’re not making it go away. It’s gone. Washed by the blood of Jesus.

The new has come: the righteous you, the holy you, the blessed you, the pure you, the rich you, the healthy you & the favored you! Meron kang bagong identity and it’s locked in by the reality of the cross. Ang dapat mo lamang gawin ay "to walk in it". Don’t live as if He never died. Sayang. Don’t waste Jesus. Si Jesus and pinakamahalagang bagay sa langit at dito sa lupa. Walang maikukumpara sa Kanya. Wala! There is no one that the Father loves more than Jesus. Pero, the Father gave Him up para Sayo. How then does the Father love you? If He gave you His #1, doesn't that mean then that #1 ka rin kay God? Think about it! Hindi mo maiintindihan how high, wide, deep, long, etc., His love is for you.

Jesus is yours: He is given to you. Are you using him? Or wasting him? Are you Martha-ing? Insisting on serving the One who came to serve? Or Mary-ing? Sitting at His feet and blessing the Lord by letting Him serve? Are you Peter-ing? Not wanting Him to wash your feet? Promising that you will go anywhere, do anything, and give up everything for Him… but falling short? Or are you John-ing? Leaning on His bosom, insisting that you are the disciple Jesus loved, enjoying the love of the Lord 'til the end?

Are you the Prodigal Son? Wearing new robes, a new ring, new sandals, and enjoying the fatted calf and the embrace of the Father? Or the older brother who is always insisting that you “never left and served God all your life but He never gave you x, y, or z?” as if it is your work that merits His blessing?

Yes, Love ang constant theme sa Bible and kailangan mong maintindihan ito ngayon. Dumating si Jesus so you can receive, utilize, enjoy, maximize, and rely on Him. Not to be served, but to serve you. Not to condemn, but to make you new. Be the one that enjoys Jesus and the full life. Don’t waste Jesus. Sayang. Reality check. Are you still trying to please God in your own strength? “Without faith it impossible to please God.”
