Word 4U Today: Wasting the Most Important Thing

ARAW 4 NG 5

Sabi ni Jesus sa kanyang mga disciples, “Ang 'greatest commandment' ay ang mahalin natin ang Panginoon at ang ating kapwa". Love is the sum total of all the law. Paano tayo maguumpisang mahalin ang Panginoon with all our heart, soul, & mind? Paano ba magmahal ng kapwa kagaya ng pagmamahal natin sa ating mga sarili? If we could never keep the law of Moses, how could we possibly begin to keep this new law which Jesus says as "all of them combined"?

The simple truth ay: Hindi natin kaya! Not in our flesh, at least. Ultimately, kagaya ng lahat ng old testament law requirements, Jesus also fulfilled the requirement of love for us on Calvary. Jesus held nothing back on the cross. Ibinigay nya lahat as God poured out the full measure of His anger to our sins. Jesus also said that no man has greater love “than laying down his life for his friends.”

Through His substitutionary death, Jesus displayed ultimate love para sa ating lahat. If we are to approach the kind of love Jesus instructed us to have for God and for one another, this is where we have to start. You see, love also begins with grace. As we accept, embrace, and grow in our understanding of the depth of God’s love for us, it begins to overflow. It spills over and returns back to Him. It spills over into our relationships with one another. Lagi nating tandaan, LOVE (like every other fruit of the Spirit) begins and ends with God.

Gusto mo bang ma-experience at maintindihan ang unconditional Love?
