Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "A Place of Power"

DAY 8 OF 31

Trusting God might be easier said than done. When we are put in a situation where we have to “wait, unable to do anything,” trusting God might seem like something difficult to practice.

Human nature always wants to be in control. So, when we can’t do anything but trust in God, unconsciously, our heart rebels, and we become impatient.

But, today, we are learning there are at least three things that we can hold on to and be sure of when we choose to trust God.
1. God’s time is the right time.
2. God’s help is perfect.
3. God promises that He will fulfill all our needs according to His riches and glory

So, let’s learn together to trust God and await His help in all aspects of our lives. Remember that He doesn’t disappoint. Everything that He does is perfect and on time.

Devotion for Parents
As parents, we have to be an example of how to trust God. How do you practice this in the most challenging seasons in life?

Kids are the best imitators. When you face problems in life, they will pay attention to how dad and mom will handle, solve, and overcome the problem. Be sure that your kids learn about God, His Word, and faith in God through your choices.

Devotion for Kids
1. What do you do when you can’t do anything to solve a problem?

2. How do you learn to trust and stay faithful to God?

Family Devotion Time
Ask every member of the family to share a story of a time when they learned to trust God.

After that, end with a prayer of thanksgiving because God’s help is the best and always comes on time.
